The Balenciaga Museum in Spain and the Victoria & Albert museum in London selected 15 students from Central Saint Martins in which I was one of them. The final design was presented at the "fashion in motion" show at The Victoria & Albert museum on the 24th of march 2017 as part of the "Balenciaga: shaping fashion" exhibition.

Every year the students of Central Saint Martins have the opportunity to present “The White Show”. For this project, the inspiration was the deformation that will occur in our bodies, if we were born in space at approximately 8% the speed of light if we travel to the nearest "Exo-planet" .
Scientists speculate that most of our body mass will concentrate in the upper part of our body. This process of evolution and adaptation will makes us look pregnant, curving and elongating our body due to the lack of gravity. ultimately changing our body structure and consequently influencing and distorting our sense of beauty.
From the high andes in peru and the old wool factories in the north of england, sam wellington and juan palomino created a project using materials like wool and alpaca to manifest the spirit of factory workers.
a reality that makes us aware of people who work with thESE exclusive materials day by day but were never able to wear it. as an ambitious project we travelled to peru and the north of england to optain the finest materials as well as to live with the comunities who taught us the secret techniques of weaving and knitting.
After experimenting with magnetism and Iron Filings, I was able to develop a technique that make sculptures in the body, sculptures that you will be able to wear. THIS is the result of a completely experimental PROCESS that allowed me to understand the body and create shapes out of it. The whole process involves the experimentation with magnets, iron filings, plastic, plaster, paint, wires and many other materials.
LONDON FASHION WEEK SS/17
01XA is a capsule collection created completely out of free draping. Reconstructing some of my old gowns and destroying them with metal and aluminum. The show opened with a cameo of my Central Saint Martins white project. The Collection portrays a mix of all shapes and silhouettes, glorifying and mocking the traditional fashion. Combining an amount of textiles and materials.
